Amanda Mary Dove is a pediatric pulmonologist in San Antonio and a charismatic public speaker since 1990. She was born in Brooklyn, New York the oldest child of now retired T/SGT Andrew and Esther Dove. She graduated from University of Arizona Tucson with a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio with her medical doctorate. She did her pediatric internship and residency at Bexar County Hospital District. She completed her pediatric pulmonary fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver. She completed her research at National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Diseases.

During her years of practice in San Antonio she has been medical director of Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital and at Methodist Children’s Hospital. Currently, she is the medical director for pediatric palliative care. She founded the development of a dedicated palliative care/end of life room at Methodist Children’s Hospital, known as “The Room above the Clouds.” Her hobbies include cooking, knitting, quilting, reading, and watching movies.
